History of Main Street Diamonds
Rick Merrill, owner of Main Street Diamonds has been in the jewelry business for twenty three years. Rick started in business with his father-in-law in 1983 in Blackfoot. In 1985 he moved to Rexburg and purchased Grant's Jewelry at the 41 East Main Street location. the name was changed to Merrill Jewelry and business was conducted under that name until 1992 when Rick incorporated with his father-in-law, Dale Jones, and changed the name to Dale's Jewelers. Dale's has been an established jewelry store in Blackfoot, Idaho Falles, and Rexburg since 1963. Rick's father-in-law retired in 1997 and the Blackfoot store was closed.
In 2006, what has been known as Dale's Jewelers, sold their existing building and purchased the building next door. In September of 2006 the business moved one building to the east and changed the name to Main Street Diamonds. The new building maintained the 41 East Main Street address. Even though the name has changed, the owners have remained the same since Augest of 1985. When you visit our new building on Main Street you will see familiar faces. Rick Merrill and Frank Hadry have collectively been in the jewelry business for forty years. they have enjoyed doing business on Main Street for most of those years.
